Set up your organization
This task involves managing organizations within ValidMind, allowing for effective business unit control.
Prerequisites
Manage business units
A business unit is a distinct segment within your organization that focuses on a specific function, product, or market, operating semi-independently while aligning with the overall organizational goals.
In the left sidebar, click Settings.
Under Workspace, select Organization.
Add, rename and delete business units as required.
Click Add New Business Unit under Business Units.
Enter in your business unit name.
Click Add Business Unit to save your changes.
After you save, confirm that the business unit was added as a new entry in alphabetical order..
Hover over the business unit you want to rename.
When the appears, click on it and select Edit Details to rename the business unit.
Click Save to apply your changes.
In order to delete a business unit, there must be no models attached to that unit.
Hover over the business unit you want to delete.
When the appears, click on it and select Delete Business Unit to remove the business unit.
In order to delete a business unit, there must be no models attached to that unit.
Manage use cases
A use case is a specific application of analytics and management techniques within an organization. Use cases can be categorized into groups in accordance to your unique requirements.
In the left sidebar, click Settings.
Under Models, select Model Inventory Fields.
In the Default Fields group, click on the Use Case field to add or delete use cases and use case groups as required.2

Add use case group
To add a grouping for use cases:
Type in your group title under options and groups.
Click next to Add Option.
Select Add Group then click Add Group to insert the group.
Click Save Configuration to save the inserted use case group.
After you save, confirm that the use case group was added as a new entry at the bottom of the group list.
Add use case option
To add an individual use case option:
Type in your use case name under options and groups.
Click Add Option to add the use case to the list.
(Optional) Hover over your use case, then click and hold to drag and drop the use case to a group.
Click Save Configuration to save the inserted use case.
- In order to delete a use case, there must be no models associated with it.
- Deleting a use case group will not delete use cases under that group — use cases will be categorized as ungrouped.
Hover over the use case or use case group you want to delete.
If you are sure you want to remove the use case, click Delete Use Case to delete it.
Manage risk areas
A risk area is a specific domain within an organization that requires monitoring and management to ensure factors like data quality, model performance, and regulatory compliance are addressed effectively.
